stage 4 uterine cancer
Hi, My mom was just diagnosed with stage 4 uterine cancer. Doc said it has spread to her bladder, bowel, chest and throughout her lymphatic system. After originally planning to do a hysterectomy the doctor has decided based on the PET scan results that surgery will do no good at this point. She wants her to start chemo…

Got my stage and grade
Went for my post- hysterectomy consult. Pathology showed cancer in lymph node. I'm stage IIIC grade II Didn't even think to ask what all that means. Just heard stage III and knew it wasn't good. Will have chemo and radiation (external & internal). I'm really scared. Don't think this is sounding very good. Could really use…

First Chemo
I just got back from my first chemo treatment. I was sooooo nervous. It was much easier than I had expected. I had a port put in Tuesday afternoon - so only have had it about 3 days - still pretty tender. BUT my Dr had prescribed anesthetic cream to rub on skin about a hour before treatment. It really worked. Much easier…

To chemo or not to chemo, that is the queston
Hi folks. Just joined this site. I recently had a total hystorectomy to remove a nice sized grapefuit from my uterine/ovary area (along with some lymph nodes). The doctor said it was Stage 1 endometrial adenocarcinoma. The surgery went well. He highly recommended getting chemo just in case there MIGHT be some microscopic…

Serous Uterine Cancer
I was diagnosed in November of 2013 with uterine cancer after several irregular pap smears through a period of about four years. I was incredibly stupid, ignoring a bloody discharge from my body for months, then one day waking up with clots and clots of blood which finally drove me to my gyn doctor. She sent me to a…

Your support is most appreciated!
Thank you all for responding to my post. Your suggestions on how to cope have been most appreciated. I am learning to take each day just one day at a time and enjoying each moment more. I work and so that has also been a distraction for me. I find that as I come to accept my UPSC stage 111A diagnosis, I am able to put it…

New Study - Pet/MRI scan - Has anyone had this?
There is a new scanning technique in the works. It has been out since summer of 2013 I think. Instead of a Pet CT this is a PET/MRI. It is supposed to be the best in scanning. If you are in the study, they will do a PET/CT then they will do the PET/MRI right after. They will use the same tracer for both tests. You still…
