Everything has seemed to be normal except that she has sharp pains in her chest sometimes where the large mass…

lump in armpit...lymphoma?
Hi, I'm 21 and have been having a reoccuring lump in my armpit for over a year now. I had surgery to remove it in April because it was the size of a golf ball and painful. It started coming back in a different lymph node this time but still in the armpit. It is about the size of a cherry now and tender but not too painful.…

this might sound crazy, but it's something that i'm genuinely trying to come to terms with. does anyone out there feel guilty for having a form of cancer that is "highly treatable & highly curable"? i met so many people over the course of this experience who may or may not get better, my doctors were alway so positive…

13 yr. old son newly diagnosed
We found out on July 1, 2005 that our son has stage 1A Hodgkins Lymphoma. I have been reading a lot of the messages here and am grateful I have found this site. I have noticed that the majority of chemo treatments have been ABVD. Jared's treatment is 2 courses of DBVE and then approximately 17 radiation treatments. Has…

Hodgkin's 27yrs. later
In 1978 I was told I had Stage 1A Hodgkins, I was also told I would have to take radiation treatments which I did. I recieved a total 7432 rads of Colbalt 60 to the mediastinum and abdomen area. I would experience the neck burn and weight loss along with being sick until the treatments were over, after a 5 year period with…

concerned about mental side effects
I have been undergoing R and Chop treatments for 6 months (7 of the 8 scheduled treatments). Before being diagnosed, I wondered why I would forget things or had a hard time making decisions. Now that the treatments have started, I can forget what I am saying in the middle of a sentence or have a difficult time making…

Back and chest pain
After my second chemo session I was given a shot of Neulasta to build white cells. About six days after the shot while I was at work, my lower back began to spasam badly and then it went into my breast bone. After a call to my Doctor, I was told to come in the office. I was given a ekg and then sent to the ER. Spent the…

Clinical trial with AVG
I ahve stage IIA Hodgkin's. My doctor at UCSF gave me options to choose between a)standard ABVD treatment with radiation therapy and b) an AVG regimen which is under Phase II clinical trial. He claims the Gemcitabine (The G in AVG) that replaces Bleomycine and Dacarbazine has less lung-toxicity and less side effects. I am…

Lymphoma of the Skin
Hi all. I was diagnosed with B-cell indolent NHL in June 2003. I underwent six rounds of CVP last year. Has anyone out there had…

Have lots of questions
I have many questions. I was just researching NHL because my husband spent over 10 years working for a commerical septic company and was exposed to PCB's. A hospital lab test proved he had high amounts in his system. After researching this we learned that it does cause NHL. He is no longer in this line of business but is…

Chemo for bulky tumor
My brother has low-grade, b-cell lymphoma, marginal (monocytoid), small and mix-cleaved, stage III (probable stage iv). Also a very bulky tumor in the abdomen. He is asymptomatic. We've visited several oncologists/clinics. All recommend chemo but different regimens. None will commit to say which has greater efficacy, less…

High blood levels
We have just completed round two of DBVE. We have been giving Jared his daily injections of GCSF to maintain his blood levels. Well, they never did drop, and as a matter of fact, they are so high, too high now. The hospital has told us to stop giving him the G shots because now he is experiencing back pain. This is my…

I'm getting a little ahead of myself, but my sister recently discovered a lump in her breast.
