Colon soothing medication? A little graphic...
When I was released from the hospital after I'd had sepsis in September the docotr there said he was going to give me a colon soothing prescription. They called the prescriptions in to my pharmacy. It turned out there wasn't one included. I'm having a lot of trouble lately and I'm wondering if anyone uses one or has used…

Exposed to flu?
Well my lovely son visited from Friday to Saturday night. He just texted me this morning that he and his roommates have the flu something fierce, with profuse vomiting and dizziness. I have definitely been exposed, so I'll call my Dr. In the morning to see if he'd like to treat me with Tamiflu preventatively. Anyone here…

Just sharing my good news, 1 year of NED after stage IV
I just heard back from my last PET scan yesterday and I am now officially 1 year NED. WOO! I made it past my first hurdle! Like everyone on here, I think I've had all the chemo and surgery I care to have. For now I think I will just keep doing what I've been doing, and try to stay NED. For anyone else who is stage IV as…

So far so Good
I just had a CT scan for my colon cancer - I am 18 months out of treatment. It was all clear and my CEA is still below 1. It has actually been that way since my surgery, before my chemotherapy. I had to change insurance when I lost my job in June, but I am really pleased with my new oncologist. As I mentioned before, I…

Results from PET/CT look great
I just got the results from my PET/CT Scan and it’s good news. No spread and only thickening of soft tissues in the presacral space, unchanged in size and decreased hypermetabolic activity. My Oncologist indicated I would not need another scan for a year. Not NED but PFS (progression free survival). And my Neuropathy is…

Last two CT scans bad
My scan on November 30 showed quite a bit of increase in growth of what were "tiny" places in my liver. My CEA had started going up also and my Doctor was really flabbergasted. It's been rough since then. Outlook seemed terrible. I posted about having the Y90 treatment directly into my liver, have talked to the radiologist…

Radiologist offered hope, first I've heard in a while!
So I had my consult with a Radiologist regarding the radioembolization therapy. He spoke with me for almost an hour! He was way more positive than my oncologist has been since my bad scan results in November. So the radiologist really thinks he can either do an ablation of the places in my liver and the lone one in my lung…

Seeing Onc Tomorrow and Nervous
Ugh. Haven't seen her since September when I had to stop the chemo because of getting septic shock due to (probably) the chemo irritating my colon and it allowing 4 different colon bacterias into my bloodstream. I had a ct scan in October that showed that the chemo did shrink the mets a bit except for the biggest one but I…
