Dx. 6/06 Stage IV with mets to liver(inoperable, too many) An interesting thing on the scan results says that there are so many mets…

Here I am again, waiting for CEA results. I had my bloodwork done yesterday, but with the holiday, I won't get results until Monday. There's no reason to expect anything but good results, but...I'll be glad when I hear the number is LOW. Gail

First, I would like to thank all who have replied to my post about my brother, Mark. Mark has been battling colon cancer for nearly four years. To share and ask for thoughts
I wrote this group a couple of months ago about my brother, Mark, and I just need to share and ask for your thoughts. In a nutshell, Mark has been fighting colon cancer over three years. Thank you all for all the good wishes on my 5 year anniversary!!! I am honored that there were 26 responses. I sometimes have felt guilty posting good news over the years. But I wanted to hear survivor stories when I was diagnosed. I have also posted many times when I needed help from some of the others, especially in my…

Thank you everyone for all your responses to my questions up to this point. I now have another one and hope that all with the prior experience can help. Happy Birthday to me :) I turn 44 today (30 June) and feel GREAT! I have been NED for two years!! When I turned 40, I considered birthdays over. I would like to hear from anyone with Stage 3B Colon Cancer what their follow up protocol was after completing chemotherapy. My Oncologist plans to see me 30 days after completing chemo, and not again for 6 months. I am worried that this may not be soon enough. He also mentioned that he usually just does lab work at 6…

Good CT scan for a stage 4 guy
Even though I sometimes feel guilty writing this with so many people suffering. I did get my 3 month CT scan yesterday at Stanford and there remains NED. This now makes it 9 clean months after my lung lobectomy in 11/07 which is a small step but it feels good. It makes it amost 1.5 years with a clean liver which is pretty…

Howdy
Hi to All. It's been a while since I've been on this site, and I just wanted to see how everyone is doing. Has anyone heard how Tara's surgery went yesterday? Personally, I continue to gain weight and now resemble the Michelin balloon that terrorized everyone in "Ghostbusters." I can't seem to stop eating since I quit…

Another question
My mom passed away from ovarian cancer. The surgeon did remove my ovaries during my 1st surgery, but I still have my uterus. Is there anyone out there with the same issues and what are the concerns/risk factors from the radiation/chemo? I still have my port and I don't know if I should have it removed. Thanks for any help,…
