One year later still in pain...

It has been almost a year since I had a right hemi-colectomy and I still have lots of lower abdominal pain. Bentyl helps sometimes. I am on stool softeners twice a day. Anyone else had this problem. I go for my one year colonoscopy next week. Please pray for a negative report. Getting a little discouraged as I usually bounce back so fast from health woes.

Thanks, I see him next week. So glad you're doing well.HowardJ said:Not to discourage you but I had a laprascopic right hemi-colectomy and was pain free by one year. I also did not require stool softeners (actually just the opposite). Sounds like you should discuss with your doctor.
