pains one year later
A year and a half ago I had a lumpectomy followed by 6 weeks of radiation and 6 months of chemo. Things seemed to be going well with little discomfort. For the last 2 months I have suffered with significant ache/pain across my breast, arm and upper back. It can be quite intense at times. Eight months ago a bone scan was…

Day 15 of Pammy's Rads
Don't know what happened today, but I was teary eyed all day. Just going through an emotional rough spot that just didn't want to leave me. My tech pretty much realized I was not myself and I don't think she was buying my act. It actually was somewhat awkward because she has never seen me like that. I know she was…

Postponed again - oh well...
Looks like the Mooperino and I were a little bit optimistic in our guess (our dear hope) that we would be headed home on Monday. It now looks like Moopy's rads will be done on Wednesday. That's because the hyperthermia machine crapped out for three sessions last week, and Dr. Taylor is bound and determined that Moopy is…

Teeing it up for Ta Ta's Golf Tournament
I was in a golf tournament yesterday which raised money for local breast cancer organizations==one of the organizations is PIPS(Pretty In Pink Survivors). I golfed with a bunch of wonderful ladies and had a fantastic time. The prize for a Hole in One was a set of dentures--no one got a hole in one--if I had I don't know…

Long living famous women with breast cancer

Check up
Well girls the fun never ends. Went for my checkup with my surgeon and I have developed a big lump just above my mastectomy site and have to have a CT scan today. The doctor doesn't think it's fluid or blood build up, he says it feels like bone. Said it was very unusual and he didn't know what it was. Hopefully I find out…

It seems that an apology is order
Dear Friends, I did some pretty stupid things this past week-like overdose on anxiety meds to take away the pain of rejection. It didn't work and I ended up in the hospital with an IV and totally "stoned" out of mind. My daughter flushed the rest of my meds down the commode and called my GP to cancel the order for a higher…

Thinking about stopping
I receive a bill for Chemo. I thought my insurance was going to cover and each time I go see the Oncologist it will continue to built up. So I think I can stop going and not take Femara and I will not need those follow ups. I really want to have my reconstruction done and need to reduce all these co-pays and trips. So I…
