Biotin success after taxotere - yeah!
I had finished my chemo in November 2015 (taxotere and cytoxin). When my hair returned, I was satisfied with its progress. Then I was given Armidex in July 2016 and switched to Femara(Letrizole) because of SE. Sadly I began to see the crown of my head get thinner and thinner. I added Biotin to my pillbox for each day, and…

DIEP with excessive abdomen swelling
Hi; i had a DIEP procedure 6 months ago. Of the surgeries I've had so far, tha was the worst. My plastic surgeon said that I didn't need to wear any type of binders. I'm healing well but my lower abdomen is very swollen. I can't wear anything that I could wear before the surgery. I went to my original PS and then a new one…

Had 1st chemo treatment.......

When do they start? They told me to start taking my anti-naisea pill tonight just to be on the safe side because getting sick is the thing…

Getting my port-a-cath in the morning
Hi all! I'm super nervous about getting this port-a-cath. Everyone I've talked to has told me how much better it's going to be going through chemo with the port but I can't shake the anxiety. Everything seems like it's all moving super quick and I think that may be the main source of my anxiety...but it's focused on…

What to ask when nurse calls with biopsy results?
I had a biopsy done last Thursday and expect a call from the nurse early this week about the results. The diagnostic mammogram states in pertinent part "...clustered small amorphous calcifications spanning 2.3 cm are seen...." These are increased in number since the previous diagnostic image of October 2015, hence the…

AI and Dexascan frequency?
To those on AI ~ I am wondering how often you are scheduled for a Dexascan. My insurance says every 2 years, but onco scheduled me one year. I do have arthritis in my neck. I told them at the center that I am on AI and that was why I was scheduled. Do you think I should call my insurance to guarantee payment? Thank you!
