2 cancers, 1 breast
I was initially diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma stage 2b, triple negative. When they did the pathology from the masectomy they found DCIS in several areas around the same breast. It has all been removed now along with the other breast so the chance of reoccurance in the breast is low.

Happened to my wife too
My wife's case is very complex. She had an estrogen +, 100% estrogen, grade 1 BC to right breast. Inside that was an estrogen positive, 30% estrogen, grade 3 BC. In 9 of her 19 lymph nodes were triple negative metaplastic BC. Lifetime A/C and radiation got ride of the whole mess. After 9 months on tamoxifen the cancer returned with numerous mets to her spine. Her estrogen pos BC turned into regular type triple negative. She's been on Xeloda and, as per her last PET/CT scan, most of the mets were gone and the few that were left had reduced SUV.
Because of my wife's complex BC history she is in-eligable for any BC trials.
