Be it right or be it wrong I am not doing it
My primary care physician listened to all of the suggestions I had been given by 3 gyns and my MO and told me he thought this was a bad time for a hyst. Maybe in 6 months, maybe never. My rheumatoid arthritis is in remission right now, seems my bc is also, and he would like me to recover more from surgery, chemo and rads…

Inner Focus...taking time for me
I haven't posted anything for a while. I've had a lot on my mind. Through the chaos that is our life right now, I continue to try and take some time each day for inner focus, relaxation and stress reduction. I realize that the only change that I can control in my life is how I change myself, my thought patterns, actions,…

Hi all, Looks like my time has come. After MUCH fighting and running, I will begin 4 cycles, every 3 weeks of Taxotere and Cytoxan next week. The medical community has their "take" on it by way of observing patients. Can some of you who actually walked this road plese share with me the realities? I am 48, in pretty good…

Wasted worries!
Home from my trip and it went very smooth! Delta was great with the wheelchair, security was a breeze, the gal even tied my shoes for me... they seated me in the bulk head, my sister-in-law was waiting at the curb when I rolled out in Orange County. Chair came apart easily and was easy to get in the trunk. FYI, I love my…

My uncle was diagnosed a few months back with esophageal cancer. His prognosis wasn't too bad. They thought 1-2 years with treatment. what *not* to say to a cancer patient
I'm thinking of making up a little index card and passing it out to people... tonight at my book club (hello, I am here to FORGET about breast cancer for awhile...) "So, what is your prognosis now?" I was literally speechless. I mumbled something like, umm, yeah. Anyone heard any other good ones? Laura

Hi all, Pretty confused here. From my very first visit with my onco. in Sept, she has very much put me on the "road to chemo". Question about lymph nodes after mastectomy
I have some swelling in my left armpit area. That's the side of the mastectomy. That was in Aug. of 2009. I've been out of chemo since Dec. of 2009. I can feel something, but I'm not sure what it is. Has anybody had a recurrence to show up in the lymph nodes? I only had four nodes removed during the sentinel node biopsy…

Bones not healed
The 2 bones in my foot tht broke 8 weeks ago (Hubby's fault - he put an APP on my phone to turn the screen into a flashlight and insisted I had to go outside and see how it worked - well I tripped/slipped in a rut and broke the bones) still aren't healed and the podiatrist is not sure how well they will ever heal. He is…
