I'm home surgery done

I am home and not really all that sore, just mainly where the drains are. I think the port hurts more than the actual mastectomy.I still have the onq pain pump in until tomorrow.
I had the mastectomy with the exspander put in. Had quite a few lymph nodes taken as well The Dr did not tell me the exact amount just a lot. Was running a fever the whole time at the hospital back to normal now.Blood pressure was also very low,but they said that was due ti the morphine.
All in all one step closer to kicking cancer in the A$$.
Will keep up dating I have 2 Dr's appointments next Wed. Big ((((Hugs )))) to all

Great!
Sooo glad this surgery is over for you, one less thing to worry about. I had a lumpectomy, but I know drains are annoying. They will keep checking them for you and sooner than you think, those will be gone as well. I hope you’re feeling better and your fever is gone. When I had my surgery my blood pressure was really down. And it has stayed low since (I had my surgery in Feb.). Don’t worry about that too much – it should either go back to normal or that will be your new normal.
Just happy that surgery is behind you. One step at a time. And remember, we’re always here.

Step one, kick, step 2, kick. Kick, kick, kick. Shuffle ball change. Kick kick kick.
Rest and regain your strength. Sounds like you've mastered Step 1.
Great to hear everything went well.

I was worried about my blood pressure too. Got soooo
low...but they said it was normal. The drains are a pain...
but since that's the biggest issue...not bad.
Hoping you're getting pampered & will feel great in
no time!! -
