Hair loss ten years after chemo
Hi - I am posting this a bit greedy and needy as in I've just found this place and now I'd really like to gather some info I had breast cancer when I was 36. It has been a horrible 10 years but you get there. I don't think anyone really gets that. But anyhow, I can kind of cope with all the depression, anxiety, all that…

Constant fatigue, tired of being tired.
I am now almost 4 weeks post 20 radiation treatments. My legs are tired, nurse informed me by week 6 I should feel better. I try walking, cleaning, cooking and rest in between. Diet isn't the best. I tried at first but I'm so sick of chicken and turkey. I don't feel like cooking, tired of soups, tried frozen dinners, bored…

radiation and side effects
What kind of radiation side effects have people experience besides being a little tired? I just got finished reading somewhere ( know i shouldn't!) all these side effects especially losing ones hair. Is this a side effect that alot of people get from radiation? It seems from reading these boards that most did not have any…

Surgery is tomorrow -- now cancer feels real
In responding to a very kind and supportive comment, I realized that I am freaking out because my surgery (lumpectomy, sentinal node biopsy) is tomorrow and it feels like surgery is making the cancer REAL. I started having this feeling in earnest Saturday, when I started having pain and weakness in my right arm after seed…

Hormone Replacement Therapy
Surgery and radiation do not bother me, but I am concerned about being put on hormone replacement therapy. I am not used to taking any meds and it seems like the only resources I can find are people talking about the bad side effects from taking it. Anyone not have any bad side effects, or it is just common to expect side…

Implants 6+ months in and they are ruptured
Hi- i had bi-lateral mastectomy Dec 2021 and implants at the same time. My markers kept slowing climbing for the past 5 months. After CT scans and bone scans, no sign of any cancer, but a bonus find of 2 ruptured implants. Has any body out there ever heard of such a thing happening so soon?? I don't know what I should do.…

Affects of radiation 25-30 years from now on the lungs/body.
I will be getting radiation to my right breast which will impact my right lung in the future. Does anyone have any experience with this? My doctor is, of course, just concerned about my health today and not as concerned what the impact will be in 25-30 years on my body.

Third Lumpectomy
I just found out that there are still cancerous cells in the margins of my re-excision (2nd) lumpectomy and they are talking about a third lumpectomy. Does anyone have any experience with multiple lumpectomies? I already have a seroma from the last surgery and wondering what are the risks. Not sure if I should push for an…

2nd time down this path
Back in 2011, I had LCIS, DCIS and invasive. Had a single MX and did well for 10 years. I felt a lump earlier this month and my scan shows blood flow to mass in same MX breast. Tomorrow is my biopsy. I am nervous about this being a reoccurrence and having the blood flow. I fear that means that it has moved on to my lymph…

Hidden Scar Breast Cancer Surgery
Hi All, I have been reading posts on this sight and have not yet seen this addressed. If you are about to undergo a lumpectomy for breast cancer, ask about the hidden scar breast cancer surgery.
