My Visit with the New Oncologist and Update
As you all know, I was scheduled to meet the oncologist who took over my case due to the death of my doctor back in December. I saw her on the 25th. and I like her very much. She seemed familiar with my case history, so she had obviously done some homework prior to my arrival. She is very young, but I see that as a good…

Problem with Port
When I went for my bi-weekly Erbitux infusion yesterday, the nurses couldn't access my port - no flush and no return. I've had a lot of trouble with the port in the past but we've nearly always got it to work eventually. Tumors on the Run!
My trip to Houston last week was not much fun as I still had (and have) a stinking cold and cough. I was so afraid that I was going to have a coughing fit while on the scanner that I took a Lorazepam (anti-anxiety) along with a hefty swig of cough medicine right before, and no, I didn't tell them. The scan showed that the…

Pap Tests\.HPV test
Ihave never had a "suspicous" pap test . Because of my older age, and 3 years of normal pap smears, I had discontinued having Pap tests and, only had a gyn exam every other year.
