I am a breast cancer survivor diagnosed in 2015 with grade 3 DCIS and Paget's. Did mastectomies and moved on. I am negative for genetic mutations of significance. Ended up in the emergency room from extraordinary pelvic pain and cramping on Jan5th. They did a CT and saw evidence of what they thought was a ruptured ovarian…

Recurrent ovarian cancer survival rate
Hi, My mom had stage 3C ovarian cancer 5 years ago. We found out today her cancer is back. I am just wondering some things: 1. What are the survival rates for recurrent ovarian cancer? 2. Is it staged again, or is it always going to be stage 3c, since that is the stage they caught it at? 3. Are there immunotherapy drugs or…

Skipping rounds of chemotherapy
So, my girlfriend has late stage ovarian cancer and has 18 chemo treatments to go through. We're through 5. One week was skipped, and the reason given was 'a break'. This was only relayed to us after they failed to call her with an appointment and she proactively called them. Then again, after hearing nothing from them,…

New CA125 numbers UPDATE
Hello Ladies!!!!! My lovely wife Michele is doing terrific with what she calls her "Cleansing Treatments", you know, the usual chemo drug mix. She's no longer a total newbie to all this stuff, as she just had her 8th out of 18 treatments. As I said before, her initial CA125 was over 2,000 and after surgery it fell to 424…

Remission
Remission, I just don't hear that word much anymore. I do believe it exists though. I experienced it from June 2016 to August 2017. I'm stage 4 because of the tumor on a lymph node. I'm having 3 rounds of chemo and planning on " remission" again. Best wishes to us all!

I have a kras mutation so I'm told it will probably be some kind of inhibitor in pill form. I don't know. I'm a little down. Disappointed Avastin…

I know I know... but still worried about CA-125
Hey ladies. My CA-125 had been 117 before surgery then between 6-9 during and after treatment until today. I just noticed that my ca-125 came back with 14. That's double what my last number three months ago. Should I be worried? I know that doctors wil respond to an upward trend but 14 seems high to be considering my…

Looking for Hope
So, I guess it started in March 2016. At age 50, my Mom started having awful periods, very painful and heavier than ever before. I work in OBGYN, so I thought this was just perimenopausal symptoms, as did my provider. So an ultrasound was done, everything is normal besides her uterus is slightly long and her left ovary…

CA125 questions from my mom
Hi everyone I am new in this forum. Actually I am posting this for my mom. My mom got the ovarian cancer surgery done back to mar 2015. Before she had the surgery, her CA125 was never over the range. And in the next following two years, her CA125 stays under 35. But the test at the beginning of this month(dec 2017), the…

Another IP port question
I've had my port in about 6 or 7 weeks. It's located right above my right breast. Depending on how I move, I feel a little bit of soreness. Is this normal? Since this is my first port, I'm not sure what's normal or not. I'd appreciate any insight. Thanks in advance.

How can I feel this good, and still be really, really sick?
People are very kind, but sometimes they drive me nuts. I am constantly asked, "How do you feel?" I actually feel just fine, thank you very much. I get tired easily, but even that is a lot better since the last transfusion. And except for the day or two right after chemo, I hardly know I'm sick. Then they say, "Well, you…
