I just got my 6 month check up from the oncologist. My CT scan showed clear for the NHL lymphoms. However, I she said I had an irritable liver and the #s were off. I had a blood panel from my regular doctor on April 20th and this panel was done today, 5 days later. The numbers had gone down between then. Oncologist said…

Day #3 post-chemo de-virginization
Hi all, Just wanted to post that it is day #3 after my first chemo and I still feel great, actually better than before. Due to the prednisone, I have more energy that I did pre-chemo. It might in fact be the placebo effect that I have squeaked through the first days without my head being stuck in the commode or sink, but I…

Scan time
Hey all-- Well, it may not be day +100, but the oncologist has decided to go ahead and have my post transplant PET scan. Familiar pains began showing back up around day +28 or so, and I'm guessing that's why we havn't waited the full 100 days. My hunch says something is wrong, but the SCT has totally scrambled my mind-body…

My Big Toenail
Chemo has some of the most obscure side effects! Some I knew about--nausea, hair loss. But some have been just weird. I had been told that the Doxirubicin, which is part of R-chop, could discolor my nails. Indeed, I have watched my fingernail change color, little by little, in the past few months. They now have layers of…
