A part of my soul
This is something I wrote a long time ago in my expression area here. In fact, I wrote it while still in the hospital and still high on some powerful drugs but, of course, didn't post it until a little bit later. My wife, in fact, and this is true, is a nurse and so was able to sleep on a cot next to my bed and actually…

Hi i'm Pieter, i was diagnosed with tung cancer 6 years ago. The dr removed the cancer on the tung with the biops. I saw Dr. Eric Genden at Mount Sinai last Thursday. I got escorted back to the ENT area and everyone I encountered was very nice. Dr. Genden showed me my tumor (ugly thing) hanging from the beginning of my larynx pretty far up from the vocal cords. He was very personable and explained the three different type of these…

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more

Don't tell my husband, but I went dancing with NED yesterday... eeeeeeeeeeeee!
I had my 9-month post treatment checkup at Stanford yesterday, and there was no evidence of disease. Yay! Granted, all they did was scope ('gack'), palpate the base of my tongue ('gag gag gag gag gag') and squeeze my throat till I got a little blue in the face ('wheeze') but it was still happy news. I finished cisplatin…
