neck is swollen

in Head and Neck Cancer #1
My husband has had throat cancer and we noticed that his neck started swelling up since yesterday after his rad treatment has anybody had this happen to them?

    Hi Sue, My wife's lymph nodes swoll up after her needle biopsy before treatment but they went down during her chemo therapy treatments. I would see your radiation oncologist on this right away because the 1st thing our radiation doctor does at our weekly visit is check Connie's lymh nodes in her neck to feel if they are getting bigger.     I am worried it is Saturday and the Rad doctor is not in his office today. I wonder if it would be ok to wait till Monday to see him? He is really worried about this! And so am I. I read somewhere that it could be edema? And that some people have trouble with swelling after rad treatments?
