Fluoride Trays & Toothpaste Help Request
I'm going to start chemo and radiation in a few weeks. I got a referral list of dentists in my area to go to for the fluoride trays From the hospital. What a mistake. The list is patient referrals. Not necessarily from the hospital. I picked a dentist from the list who is near my home, called and explained my situation and…

We have a new member, and I copied and pasted his story here so he could have a thread that was less than 5 years old. p I officially became a member of this club two weeks ago when I was diagnosed with Level 1 Squamous. Amazed!
So, after 13 1/2 years, my ever present, ever trusty, good buddy PEG tube was yanked out for the last time in February (you may feel some discomfort the doc says- a bit of an understatement I says), yeeeeee haaawwwwww!! I am amazed and, it's still hard to believe, that 2 1/2 years after my laryngectomy, and lots of swallow…

Verdict is in on the PET/CT results
A week or so ago the PET/CT scan was questionable. R/O thought it lit up due to muscle inflamation. Sent disk and written report to Vandy surgeon and he called while I was on vacation last week and said, "It is inflamation." Yippee I am going with that! Been out of touch as we went to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone and did…

About the "oil pulling"
that Laralyn was talking about. I've been doing it for the last month or maybe a little less. I seem to only manage to remember to do it 4 days a week or so....but....after about the first 4 days, I noticed my "taster" working so much better....and it still is. Now it could be a coincedence that my taster all of a sudden…

Prayers for sister and checking in
Soon will be a month since Jim died. I think I am still numb most days, with little breaks in the numbness where I can feel. That was until Monday. On Monday I cried most of the day. I just had this profound sadness. It does help to come visit this Board and encourage all who are facing new diagnosis or after effects of…

I am still here
I just celebrated two years without David and my second anniversary would have been on Monday. Each day without him is getting a bit easier. For those who haven't heard I moved to Lexington, KY. Wells Fargo did indeed foreclose on David's home; however, God provided for me. My new home is smaller, but it is perfect for me.…

I have done tons of research on the best doctor and the best medical facility to have this procedure done. I have very strong opinions about this but hoping not to offend anyone would be willing to share them if there is interest. I was initially diagnosed with Stage 4 oral cancer of the tongue in 2002, I have had 5…

Hello All, I am still here in the shadows watching over each of you. Today was a rather "blue" day for me as I recalled what I was doing on this day last year. Tomorrow at 9:17 AM, it will be one year since my wonderful Ron left on his final journey. I have to believe he reached his destination. This last year has probably…
