No one to stay strong for, no one to distract me, keep me busy or make me laugh. Just me and my tears. Oh how…

Fluoride Trays & Toothpaste Help Request
I'm going to start chemo and radiation in a few weeks. I got a referral list of dentists in my area to go to for the fluoride trays From the hospital. What a mistake. The list is patient referrals. Not necessarily from the hospital. I picked a dentist from the list who is near my home, called and explained my situation and…

We have a new member, and I copied and pasted his story here so he could have a thread that was less than 5 years old. p I officially became a member of this club two weeks ago when I was diagnosed with Level 1 Squamous. A few notable and relatable things are that I am a 60-year old man. Okay, TOMORROW I will be 60. I am a…

Amazed!
So, after 13 1/2 years, my ever present, ever trusty, good buddy PEG tube was yanked out for the last time in February (you may feel some discomfort the doc says- a bit of an understatement I says), yeeeeee haaawwwwww!! I am amazed and, it's still hard to believe, that 2 1/2 years after my laryngectomy, and lots of swallow…

Verdict is in on the PET/CT results
A week or so ago the PET/CT scan was questionable. R/O thought it lit up due to muscle inflamation. Sent disk and written report to Vandy surgeon and he called while I was on vacation last week and said, "It is inflamation." Yippee I am going with that! Been out of touch as we went to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone and did…

Now it could be a coincedence that my taster all of a sudden…
