Sore Throat Advice Needed
Have any of you dealt with a constant sore throat for 12 weeks after radiation? When did it finally go away? It's so bad Hydrocodone doesn't help and neither have any of my onc's suggestions. It hurts to eat and talk. Thanks!

Checking in and Merry Christmas UPDATE
Haven't been on the board since the beginning of the month. Back then I noticed how few post there were compared to last year at this time. I guess as treatment finishes and NEDs are given people tend to focus elsewhere. I am happy for that but hope they check in at least once a year to give those just starting the fight…

Has anybody ever heard of Geographic Tongue ?
Not long after my treatment finished on 8th August , I had a really bad case of Mucositis. It eventually became Thrush, with white spots on the back of my tongue. Hi all! Maybe a question for the senior warriors. I am happy to say I am 5 years out and it seems my bloodwork is a bit strange. Mouth Opening Shrinkage
Has anyone had their oral opening shrink? It is called microstomia and I have it! My mouth has shrunken to the point that I cannot get my upper denture in without tearing the side of my mouth and that is not fun! I started after sometime during my radiation (30 rads in 6 weeks for tongue cancer). About a month after I had…

Has anyone had experience with luekaplakia post-treatment?
Just returned from a regular checkup where I showed my oncologist some disturbing white patches underneath my tongue. He said that it is likely to be luekaplakia, and that I should wait and see if it goes away, and, if not, I will need to see the cancer surgeon to get it removed, as it is potentially pre-cancerous. It is…

He used a magnifying glass and a small tool to prick it. He then said that it…

Me an' NED at 6
I got the best Thanksgiving present I could hope for with a NED PET result last week. It was almost exactly 6 years ago that the ENT used the C-word for the first time, and it's been a long hard battle for me and my wife ever since.
