A week from tomorrow, Jim goes for liver surgery at Loyola hospital. This is a heart wrenching post for me to write. Over the weekend, my sister had some more excrutiating pain in her back. She went back to the hospital where they had to re-stent her kidneys and liver. New tumors had grown blocking the stents. She was able to receive much needed pain relief from the surgery. However, it was…

Not a big impact, but as I make my own beer, mead, wines, and ciders, the ability to taste is a big part of the process. Also, anyone experience neck pain following chemo? In…

When I had first started Tx in June a few articles appeared about loss of fingerprints as a result of Xeloda tho how long it took and what dose I don't recall. My own fingertips have little marks (like a 1/4 inch crease or line on several)and prints are difficult to see. A painless side effect......steve

Pretty good news!
I just got an e-mail from my onc and the scan was clear. That is great news. The only glitch was a CEA rising from 1 to 4 in the 6 months since the last scan. His suggestion is a CEA test in 2 months and then see is there is a change... I will talk to him Tuesday but overall good news. Thanks all Chip
