Those on Xeloda:Have you noticed changes in your finger tips?
When I had first started Tx in June a few articles appeared about loss of fingerprints as a result of Xeloda tho how long it took and what dose I don't recall. My own fingertips have little marks (like a 1/4 inch crease or line on several)and prints are difficult to see. A painless side effect......steve

Colonoscopy with no sedation..I did it!!
I had my 6 month colonoscopy today. The prep was horrid this time. Stayed in my stomach for hours…all 64 oz. and I ended up having to take Zofran to keep from upchucking. Finally went to bed and that is when it all started moving…ALL night long! Here is the good part. I had been thinking of asking for no sedation because…

Pretty good news!
I just got an e-mail from my onc and the scan was clear. That is great news. The only glitch was a CEA rising from 1 to 4 in the 6 months since the last scan. His suggestion is a CEA test in 2 months and then see is there is a change... I will talk to him Tuesday but overall good news. Thanks all Chip

Worst Cereals
I just read this article and wanted to share it. WORST ICONIC CEREAL Kellogg’s Raisin Bran (1 cup) 190 calories 1.5 g fat (0 g saturated) 7 g fiber 19 g sugars It'll be hard to find a more sugar-loaded cereal than Raisin Bran. It’s sweeter than even Lucky Charms, Reese’s Puffs, or Cocoa Krispies. Some of that sugar can be…

I was supposed to receive a total of 24 treatments of 5-FU and leucovorin, which were to be given in four cycles. In each cycle I would be given these chemo drugs once a week for six weeks and then have two weeks off. After 14 treatments my oncologist stopped my treatments because of a perforated colon. Just venting
I want to come from a place of love in terms of how I feel about or treat other people but sometimes I get irritated over the petty complaints of others. People get so focused on themselves sometimes they forget that there are a lot more things to worry about than the small stuff. I guess it is just me. Even before cancer…
