Be it right or be it wrong I am not doing it
My rheumatoid arthritis is in remission right now, seems my bc is also, and he would like me to recover more from surgery, chemo and rads before stressing my body even more with another surgery. We do not want anything to cause any flare-ups. We will continue to do u/s every 3 months for now and decide if we need to do something at a later date.
So, moving on to look forward to the holidays, and my 2nd grandchild in January...I'll be that song and "don't worry, be happy"

It really seems that your decision is sound. Helpful to hear your thought process.
I thrilled that you have been a part of the process here -- taking control of our own health and body is very important.
Now time to rest, relax and enjoy for a few months, then you can move forward with hyst.
Strength, Courage and Hope for a CURE.

Didn't want to do anything "stupid". Was feeling a little bit stuck between doctor opinions. Probably could have made this decision much more quickly and easily pre-"chemo brain".
Just another fun curve in the cancer road,

Smart doctor you have and you agreeing.Isn't that way always. My gastro doctor thought soon after my breast surgeries I need a hernia operation. He was adamant. After 2 years I am fine but fired him.I would do it again in a heartbeat.I've had way to many mistakes made. I know longer put up with it.Fired 3 doctors within a year.I always wonder how they would feel if it was their loved one.
Take a break, enjoy life and soon the holidays.

Is very important when facing a major surgery. You need to be as strong as possible before being assaulted again. Glad you've got someone looking at all of you and not just the part they're in charge of.
I don't remember if you've had either an endometrial biopsy or D & C and what the results were. Just keep a close eye on things and have a happy and healthy holiday season.

PS If you do have to have the hysterectomy, ask about Davinci robotic assisted surgery or laparoscopic hysterectomy. I came home from the hospital on NO pain meds and was amazed at how good I felt. It was very hard for me to remember to take it easy because it's still major surgery - just major surgery via small incisions.0 -

I did have an endometrial biopsy and the results were fine. I have also had a 2nd u/s which showed no changes after 2 months. Agreed to u/s again in 3 months.
The gyn I spoke to told me he could do the hyst either DaVinci or laparoscopically and we could decide if and when I decide to have it. I want to give myself the chance to be stronger and hopefully not back on any immune suppressant drugs for the arthritis. I feel like the longer I go without suppressing my immune system the better everything will be. It was my understanding when I was 1st dx with RA that stress is a trigger so am trying to be more stressfree.
Now if only I could get a handle on my diet.....darn Halloween candy
