Hi, I'm a cancer survivor who is working to help other patients/survivors. Hi Everybody, I finished chemo January 3rd. Saw my surgeon, had a Pet Scan, Breast MRI, saw the plastic surgeon, had a chest wall MRI, and finally saw a thoracic surgeon. My Chemo buddy lost ...
A very dear friend lost his battle to the beast this past week. I worked with Sandra, his wife and when I found out I had breast cancer. She was the first to reach out to me with a beautiful pink angel - and lots of love and hope. When I was away from work having my surgery, her husband, Nathan found out he had lymphoma -…

You don't see me on this site to much anymore. But believe you me I know where to come to find opinions on things. There isn't a better place where so many can respond so quickly and I too still like to share a few things. After struggling on and off with my health my Cancer Struggle never seems to stray to far but living…

Hi ladies! It has been a month since my surgery and things have not been fun lately. I guess I didn't realize how serious of a surgery this was, but I have been having a rough go. I am finally down to one crutch, but I am still unable to get dressed by myself, put my shoes on, etc. Pretty much anything that requires…

From "Winnie the Pooh" -not OT
"You are smarter than you think, stronger than you seem and braver than you believe." You rowdy pinks on that bus really helped me through it. My appointment with the onc. yesterday to start the new treatments went very well. First, I had the Faslodex injections (one in each butt cheek). Maybe it was because they warmed…

Scan results
I already have an email from my doc about today's scans.... "Everything looks good on your studies. The bone scan is negative, no signs of cancer in the bone. The CT scan also looks good, with stable lymph nodes, no growth." Lots of relief for me there...I assume this means we will continue with weekly Abraxane. I'll know…

joint pains with tamoxifen?
Does anyone taking Tamoxifen battle with sore joints? I thought it was an after effect of chemo or radiation but it's almost a year since I stopped those and wonder if it's the tablets that cause it? Any ideas as to what might help? Mostly elbows, wrists and feet - feel like they are burning. Sorry I shouldn't complain I…

Newbie needs translation please.
Hi, everyone. I have just registered here and started by reading some discussion boards, but a lot of the time I have no idea what people are saying. Is there a place on this site or another website where I can find out what all these abbreviations and acronyms mean? I feel so ignorant compared to you all. I was diagnosed…

WOW Just realized yesterday it was 2 years since I finished chemo.
I haven't posted in a while but I do check in almost every day to see what is going on. I still see a lot of familiar faces and of course a lot of new ones. Still taking Femara and it is still giving me joint pain. I will be taking it for 3 more years. Check ups have all been good and I still worry about the beast coming…

Effusion of the hip......go figure
Hi Ladies and Gents, Got that unbearable pain again only on the other side this time.
