joint pains with tamoxifen?
Does anyone taking Tamoxifen battle with sore joints? I thought it was an after effect of chemo or radiation but it's almost a year since I stopped those and wonder if it's the tablets that cause it? Any ideas as to what might help? Mostly elbows, wrists and feet - feel like they are burning. Sorry I shouldn't complain I…

Newbie needs translation please.
Hi, everyone. I have just registered here and started by reading some discussion boards, but a lot of the time I have no idea what people are saying. Is there a place on this site or another website where I can find out what all these abbreviations and acronyms mean? I feel so ignorant compared to you all. I was diagnosed…

WOW Just realized yesterday it was 2 years since I finished chemo.
I haven't posted in a while but I do check in almost every day to see what is going on. I still see a lot of familiar faces and of course a lot of new ones. Still taking Femara and it is still giving me joint pain. I will be taking it for 3 more years. Check ups have all been good and I still worry about the beast coming…

Effusion of the hip......go figure
Hi Ladies and Gents, Got that unbearable pain again only on the other side this time. I don't know if any of you remember but a few weeks back I thought (and doctors thought) I might have passed a kidney stone. Well, when it happened again, I went to Boston instead of the South Shore. An MRI confirmed an effusion (liquid)…

Hello Pink Flamingos! I need to ask for a bus for tomorrow, too. Sorry I'm so late. I am having a hysteroscopy and a d&c tomorrow (thanks Tamoxifen...) at 11:00. I'm a little nervous, of course. If I could have some rowdy girls with me, I'd feel much better!! :-) Thanks!! xoxo

Just wanted to share a little bit! I don't post much anymore but I do get on and read how everyone is doing! Very happy to have…

Joke for Wednesday .. Enjoy!
..... You know it is time to reassess your relationship with your computer when.... 1. You wake up at 4 O'clock in the morning to go to the bathroom and stop to check your email on the way back to bed. 2. You turn off your computer and get an awful empty feeling, as if you just pulled the plug on a loved one. 3. You decide…

Just found a lump
I was sitting here tonight watching TV. I reached for something and noticed that things didn't feel quite right. So I pressed around and found a lump in the breast where cancer was found in August. Question for my stage IV/mets sisters...
How do you answer when someone asks "How long will you be in treatment?" I usually evade and tell them 'I'm not sure. We have to see what the next CT scan says." But in my case, it is more likely that I will be in treatment in one form or another for the rest of my life. Every time I get asked this question (and it seems…

Not totally OT - Any tatters out there?
I usually forget to get busy making tatted book marks to take to the Retreats I go to. We decorate mail bags and hang them so anyone can secretly give little 'things' or special notes to each other.
