Discomfort around Port site
Has anyone experienced discomfort near their port site many months after it was removed? I had mine removed last August and within the past month or two I've been having discomfort (not pain), no lumps, just an odd feeling that seems to move around on side where the port was. Sometimes the feeling is above my breast,…

Want to share encouraging news
I have been through radiation and chemotherapy. I was diagnosed IIIb because it had spread to 2 lymph nodes, but right around the tumor, and extension through the septum into the vagina. The GYN oncologist indicated the tumor was "huge." The colorectal surgeon said it was large, but wouldn't commit as to whether it could…

beginning symptoms...
I truly appreciate you all telling your stories for others to learn by. I'm curious to know if any women who have been diagnosed here experienced a sensation to have a bm every time they went to urinate. (Not sure if question was graphic enough to warrant a "slightly graphic" tag, sorry) Also, I have hemorroids. With 6…

Tonsil related cancer
I read that sometimes if you have cervical cancer you can also get upper throat cancer related to the tonsils. My PET showed some activity on one tonsil but the doctors did not seem concerned about it. Has this happened to anyone else?

Home after chemo and radiation
I went to Seattle for my treatment because medical resources are limited on Kauai. While I was there I met Terry, Aunt of Liz, who told me about this forum. Liz was a lifesaver, helping me to view this disease differently and giving me lots of practical advice. I finished treatment on June 13th and my burns are finally…

I was diagnosed in October 2013 with anal cancer (they never staged it, but said it was very early). I have been anemic for several years and my numbers got so low that my doctor decided that since I was pre-menopausal I should have a hysterectomy. I was resistent. He scheduled a colonoscopy/endoscopy first to rule out…

Latest CT Scan Results
I had my date with the CT machine last Thursday afternoon and, other than a little bit of contrast seeping out of the IV, it was uneventful. Just curious....do any of you see a heart doctor for routine check ups? Have you had a break in radiation treatment/
Hi, I just have 5 more radiation treatments left but I had to take a week off because of my blood counts. I would like to hear from anyone who has had to postpone treatments and if…
