Dear Friend,
Of course it can be anything. However diagnosis is sometimes very difficult. Many people here were giving the run around sometimes for years. Don't lt that happen. Find a doctor who specializes in colorectal issues and don't stop until you get a definite diagnosis.
Mi wish you good luck.

I have to agree with Laz. Many of us were initially and incorrectly diagnosed with bleeding hemorrhoids, only to later find out it was anal cancer. Please see a colorectal specialist and get a thorough exam, including an internal view with anoscope. I wish you all the best and hope this nothing serious.

Early Diagnosis
I was told I had internal hemorrhoids after a digital rectal exam by my physician. This was after I reported to my doctor that I filled a toilet bowl with blood. I insisted on a colonoscopy and discovered I had stage 3 anal cancer. I highly recommend a colonoscopy....and I hope it's a complete waste of time for you! Hugs!!

Dear dmid
I can only reitterate what has been said....get checked out by a colorectal surgeon with a positive history in diagnosing rectal cancer. Colonoscopy, biopsies, etc. is what it takes and should be done immediately. I pray everyting is negative for cancer, but early diagnosis is crutial! I had hemorroid type symptims of and on for about a year, and finally went to have it checked/taken care of when it got much worse. They found a massive rectal tumor that has metastesized to my lungs. I was told that it was probably cancerous for 6 months. Needless to say I am a full advocate for immediate action at any sign of abnormal bowel stuff! I went from discomfort to stage 4 rectal cancer that quick. Stay positive, but by all means get checked out thouroghly.
