Hi. I'm new here with a new diagnosis of endometrial cancer.
To start, last August I saw my PCP for my annual exam and wanted estrogen cream for dryness in my vaginal area. I was a medical transcriptionist for 40 years and did lots of OB/GYN reports with older women needing treatment. I asked to be referred to a gyn, but he said he could prescribe the cream if needed. I love this…

New to this Camp
Hello ladies, I am so glad I found this site. When I originally Googled my discharge diagnosis "Endometrial/Uterine Adenocarcinoma (Hcc)", nothing promising came up. In fact, it made me have a panic attack, as I thought I had only weeks to live. My lab results will come back in approximatley a week. Aside from the above…

Endo Thickness of 33.4mm/Biopsy Tomorrow
Hi. I’m a late 30s, PCOS, obese female who has experienced pretty severe and heavy periods over the last year which include nice sized clots. My spotting in between periods began about two years ago which was minimal at first. I thought it was a sign that I was ovulating. 😂 However, those light spotting episodes have now…

Hard time with chemo!
I had chemo 8 days ago, 3 hours of Taxol & 1 hour of Carboplatin. Doc said side effects would subside in 4 days but I'm still struggling with nausea and fatigue. I'm feeling guilty about this, like I should be feeling like my old self by now. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Trying not to panic
I've reached the phase after radiation (week three) where I'm more active, and trying to recover my health, strength, and endurance from last year, before cancer took over my life. Because I'm more active now, I'm experiencing confusing sensations in my pelvic area...fleeting pain, twinges, etc. It could be from not having…

pelvic mass on ovary CT?
Has anyone had a CT scan that showed pelvic mass on ovary 9.3 cm and complex lesions, then it turned out to be a recurrence with grade 1 stage 1 a after a hysterectomy (kept ovaries)? I had a CT scan after an accident, this was found and has me confused and concerned. My oncologist is sending me for an US but didn't say if…

Metastatic Cancer with Primary Uterine Malignancy
Hello everyone! I am writing this on behalf of my mother -- she is 85 y.o, diagnosed with Metastatic Uterine cancer in July 2022 and just completed 6 months of chemo. Her most recent PET scan (after 6 months of chemo) shows about 20% of the cancer still remaining. So we are starting the 7th cycle of chemo this week. She…

Good article on Endometrial cancer
This article is clearly written and comprehensive. I can't find a date on it, and I think the survival rates are lower than other articles so be aware. Otherwise it is good information.

The cancer is er+ and pr+ and her2- and I am on 100 mg of Ibrance and anastrazole for over 5 years. Because the drs know that this cancer will eventually return (and some of…

Recent Endometrial Adenocarcinoma Grade 1 diagnosis
Alright here goes…found out two weeks ago that I have endometrial cancer. 18mm endometrial lining
Asked this on the gyn forum and then saw this one may be more helpful. I guess I'm just trying to see what I'm headed for... I'm turning 50 in a few months, and have had three full years of crazy periods from so heavy I was frightened and almost a month long, to missing period for months, to pink for days. Strange…

Sweating
Silly question. Has anyone noticed sweating a lot more during their cancer treatment? If yes, does it go away after chemo is done? Drinking a cup of hot tea makes my head sweat now. Maybe it always did but I never noticed because I had hair (lots of it). Now with a bald head, the sweating is very obvious. Such a strange…

Nyquil for neuropathy?
It's been almost three years since I was first diagnosed with Stage II, Grade 3 UPSC. After three chemos, I stopped. I had many, many bad side effects but the one that has lingered is very painful neuropathy in my feet. There have been nights I have walked the floor for hours in tears. I have tried all kinds of painkillers…

Surprise extreme exhaustion
I've entered my 4th week post-radiation, and have made a trip with my wife and two pups to the Oregon Coast to celebrate and start to recover from the losses I've endured over the past year. PARP Inhibitors for UPSC
Good evening. I need to make some insurance decisions during open enrollment, and I'm wondering if anyone on the board is on a PARP inhibitor for UPSC. Recurrence stories
Ladies, Without a major symptom, how does one discover that they recur? Those of you who have recurred, how did you discover it? CT, PET, physical symptoms? Bleeding? Other? How soon after your last treatment did you recur? I am curious because of the very different opinions about scans that we get from our medical teams.…

Follow-ups and counting
I'm wondering when the actual counting of "how many months NED" begins. Is it the day after surgery? After the "no residual cancer" report shows up after a post-surgical PET scan (which I received "out of an abundance of caution")? After post-surgical treatment wraps up? Or at the first follow-up appointment after…

Shy by nature. Reaching out.
I'm approaching the one-year mark (mid-December, 2021) from when I starting having symptoms of uterine cancer. My surgery was in late July (robotic hysterectomy, including all "parts"), and my radiation treatments ended a week ago, in mid-November. I'm just now starting to come to terms with what I've been through. This…

Silly questions about radiotherapy
I'm starting radiotherapy in a couple of weeks..what can I wear that I don't have to take off? Can I wear long socks (only just over the knee)? It's just getting into winter here, I'm in Scotland so it's going to be VERY cold! Do I take my shoes off? Can I wear a t-shirt and just hitch it up? I definitely don't want to…
