Monday Dec 15th** Pink Bus Anyone?
Seeing the new Oncologist Monday for my 2nd visit to him. In Sept he released me for a whole year and then a week later promptly called me back because of the CA 27-29 Tumor Marker Test being a bit too elevated... (in the 40s). So...did more blood work a few weeks ago (this time at an independent lab) and see him Monday…

My first oncology appt
I had my first oncology appt yesterday ( still can't really believe it). I must say, I was so impressed with my new Dr. She was aware of my medical history and had spoken to the radiologist about my biopsy results - stage II, triple negative, grade 3 IDC. She spent over 1 1/2 hours with me, collecting history, educating me…

Among over 50 family members, a maternal aunt had brst cancer in her early 40's, and subsequently passed away. :-( I think my risks are low of having any cancer.…

Traveling during treatment
Is it safe to travel while undergoing radiation treatment? I ask because my son lives 1300 miles away and I would love to fly out to see him soon (his birthday is today and I wish I was there to celebrate with him). I'm more interested in how safe air travel is while undergoing radiation. I was told even with radiation…

Update on Cypress Cynthia from sister Patsy on 12/11/2014
"We've had a miracle today. Eileen woke up, was able to use her phone, and started discussing her medical treatment. I don't know what to think except either the chemo is starting to work or she starved her cancer. She has been off narcotics which is not the direction that end of life cancer patients go- they are usually…

lost sense of smell
I had a mastectomy (4/02) and then chemotherapy from 5/02 through 8/02. My sense of smell is all but gone. I either don't smell things or I smell them differently than others. (I've got two kind of generic smells that kick in for many different things.) We did a CT scan of my head/sinuses last week. No tumor or…

Oncotyping rating
Does anyone know what the number is for the oncotyping rating when doctors are looking at possible chemo? I thought my oncologist said it had to be over 30% for chemo to be recommended.
