Arimidex and high blood pressure.
Hi Everyone, I just saw my primary due to sinus issues. My blood pressure was 140/100! I always had very low blood pressure. I was shocked. Has anyone else on Arimedex experienced high blood pressure? I have been on for 3 months and don't have any of the side effects that my oncologist warned me about. She never mentioned…

CD1800 speciman data report
I recently had blood work done after 34 rounds of rads for DCIS. I had read somewhere before from this discussion group where you can go to get info. on what these initials stand for. This is first time for blood work since rads. My MPV is high along with sodium and potassium. I thought I would do research before I called…

Did anyone choose a mastectomy over radiation?
Hi, I am weighing out the pro's and con's for both. I don't like that radiation can potentially give you a cancer. And for me it would be on my left side, too close to my heart for comfort. What are your thoughts on this? Ayse

Great, cheap bra to use during reconstruction
I found a great bra to get me through reconstruction!! It's made by Warners and it's called "Up a Cup." It's a padded bra without wires (hard to find) that is designed to help you appear bigger than you really are. The nice thing is that the cups are molded (but not overly rigid) so they don't collapse without having…

Neuropathy
I had a lumpectomy, followed by a lymph node disection in February 2009. I started 24 weeks of chemotheraphy in April, followed by 6 weeks of radiation, which ended in November 2009. I was given Taxol and experienced some inflamation in my nails during my treatments, but it wasn't until I was finished with chemo that I…

Could this be neuropathy?
I finished my chemo Taxotare/Cytoxin on November 10th 2009 and I have started having numbness from both shoulders down to my fingers, mostly the thumb, index and middle fingers. They fall asleep and the elbows feel like I slammed the "funny bone". The pain you get for some time after. The whole hand feels like severe frost…

Where can I find a lymphedema bracelet?
Finally got that drain out today! Wow, that really feels good! Think I might be able to sleep tonight! To celebrate, I went to Walmart and bought the new Harry Potter movie to watch tonight. I am a really big fan of the movies. I have a question, the nurse was telling me about lymphedema and suggested that I get an ID…

Mad at sister-in-law & husband
This is kind of a rant and will probably be long so don't say you weren't warned!! I had a mast w/immediate tram flap recon. in Dec. have been home recovering since - start back to work 3/1. No chemo or rads, just Tamoxifen. My husband lost his mom 3 weeks before my b/c diagnosis and lost his job (which we knew would…

How to not double post, triple post and so on.
You are double posting and triple posting because you are clicking on post comment more than once. The site does have trouble, and at times, is really, really slow, but, when you click on post comment more than once, it will post your reply as many times as you click on it. I know I get tired of waiting for the site to…

Stick-on Prosthesis
A while back I had posted something about a stick-on prosthesis that I ran across while browsing. I wasn't able to find it and finally gave up. My red blood cell count did respond to the transfusion in a positive swing. My count last week was 8.3 and yesterday it was 9.1. We are going to keep checking it and if it dips again, will schedule another transfusion. Totally lost it and broke down in the drs office yesterday at chemo, though. Every new ache or twinge…
