Allergic reaction
On Thursday I had an allergic reaction to my Carboplatin. It began with itchiness on my hands and feet which spread to my trunk. Then I had this strange tighness in my chest and my breathing began to feel strange. I pressed the alarm button and the nurses gave me an oxygen mask. I think I panicked a bit and my breathing…

surgery to remove blockage done
Hi all! At last, after a few times at the emergency and after months of vomiting and pain, mum´s got her blockage removed from her intestines... yay! How difficult could it be? But at last. And while they were "in there" they cleaned up as much as they could and she also got her pain kill pump installed as epidural…

Changing screen name
Hi all... I just wanted to say that I've changed my screen name to Patsie D. I initially called myself wanttogetwellsoon and was quite happy with that at the time though I did get a message from one of us gently asking me to change it. It's started to get me down so I've bitten the bullet and used the name I feel most…

Omentum cancer diagnosis
Hi there, I have been diagnosed with omentum cancer. My oncologist stated that surgery is not an option, but I am wondering a couple of things that perhaps one of you might kindly take the time to answer... 1. Is Omentum and Peritoneal cancer the same thing? 2. Is it terminal? My DR. stated treatment would be chemo therapy…

Night Sweats
I am having real problems with night time sweats. It is something I used to have when I was first diagnosed. At the time my oncologist said it was the "activity of the cancer" causing the heat. It soon went as the chemo began working. However, it is back. My numbers are up to 1,600 ish and I know my cancer is growing. I…
