Naturopathic Doctor advice needed
Hello all, my mom was diagnosed stage 3C2 in September and she just finished her 5/6 chemo sessions, internal radiation to come in February. As we near the end of her treatment, I really want to stay 2 steps ahead of this cancer. We've been good about her diet and exercise but I'd like to get in touch with a naturopathic…

Newbie questions
Hi all, I'm 56 and had an endometrial biopsy on Thursday due to 6mm endometrium, nodular lesion (17mm x 20mm x 9mm) and postmenopausal bleeding (1 week that seemed like a normal period about a month ago after 2.5 years of no bleeding). I believe that my gyncologist used the Pipelle (suction) tool, but was so nervous that I…

Blood test for hepatitis is negative and ultrasound of the liver is negative for mestastasis (in chemo for metastasis to lungs after 5 years in remission with high-dose progesterone). This week's blood…

Hi Ladies: I wanted to update you on my appt today with my oncologist regarding the reoccurrence of UPSC I have been diagnosed with since October of 2016. My latest CA 125 number is now down to 49. Diagnosed with MMMT - uterine carcinosarcoma... NEED HELP WITH TREATMENT OPTIONS!
My mom was recently diagnosed with a malignant mixed mellurian tumor (MMMT; carcinosarcoma) in the uterine wall. It was found when the tumor was removed after a laparoscopic hysterectomy. It was determined to be a low stage (because it was confined) but a high grade (because of the size). She underwent radiation every day…

What is a proper UPSC CT scan schedule?
I was diagnosed with UPSC in Feb. 2011. After surgery, I was staged as stage 1B grade 2/3 (on the new FIGO charts stage 1A grade 2/3). I just finished 6 rounds of chemo and I am currently doing brachytherapy radiation. I have not had a CT since I was orginally diagnosed. I thought that I would have a CT scan after…

Newly Diagnosed as Stage 4
Severe abdominal pain sent me to emergency room on 11/19/16. CT showed some " spots" on liver. Biopsy indicated cancer and was told it was ovarin and had sigmoid colon perforation. Had radical hysterehysterectomy and bowel resection on 12/13/16. After surgery was told cancer was actually uterine. Sent home and appointment…

Ugh.
My ca-125 came back stable, but elevated. I had my fourth dose of Doxil today. My doctor was surprised, but not alarmed. I have been battling a minor cold, I have bad sinuses too. I have no baseline number. i will get a Ct scan soon. How long until the results? What chemo is next? Is stable still "good"?

Uterine Carcinosarcoma Survivors
Hi there, I decided to make a new thread as the old one was getting longer. My name is Ashleig I talked to several other women out there who had the same thing my mother was diagnosed and I just wanted to give a little update. My mother's surgery was in November and I had said it would be December and was terrified because…

Just blowin' smoke?
I think I hinted (or maybe more than hinted) at my lack of trust in the medical community, with a long history of reasons. Question: Are my docs just blowing smoke? I had my first appointment yesterday with the onc. The way everything went and the things that were said, you'd think I was just having some gastro issues and…

TinyHouse update
I wanted to start a thread for myself so those who found me in the "constipation" discussion could find me. Don't want my life to be categorized under constipation! ;) . My second Chemo round was last Tuesday 1/10/17. Good news and bad news. Bad news first-I am apparently allergic to Pepcid. The only time I have been…

Great biopsy results
Ladies, Just wanted to let you know that I got my biopsy results and everything is normal. "Inactive endometrium" whatever that means, was the result. Bottom line: No cancer and I couldn't be happier. We are just taking a wait and see position as to any new bleeding. If I am still having issues, they will do the…

synchronous cancers
I had surgery last July for two cancers and they were a very rare pair. I had squamous cell cervical and endometrial(uterine adenocarcinoma) at the same time. Pathology kept thinking they made a mistake because they did so many biopsies prior to rushing me into surgery for what they thought was the "real" cancer.…

Back Pain
Merry Christmas! For the past 3 weeks I have been suffering with back/hip pain to the point that I am having trouble walking. I finished with my radiation in October. Before this happened I did have some degree of arthritis and osteopenia deterioration in my back, but never suffered this type of pain. It seems to be a…

Do you know if chemo is failing? Just paranoid...
I have a question, I would ask on the ovarian board, but it's not as active as this one. Last year at this time, I was diagnosed at first with stage IV cancer. I had a significant pleural effusion, about a week later, I had my debulking surgery, three weeks later I started on chemo. My pleural effusion came back really…

Chemo and constipation
Hi everyone, New here and have been reading older posts. I start chemo on Monday and several have talked about constipation afterwards. I am still healing from my hysterectomy, so constipation at this time would be extremely uncomfortable Should I take the stool softener or dulcolax the morning of my chemo? I was given the…

Update on sonohistogram....Learned nothing! Arggggggggg
Just got off the phone with my ob and I am no closer to an answer than I was a week ago. Turns out that not only did the sonohistgram not work, but taking the fluid for biopsy revealed nothing....just fibrous tissue. So, I still have to go back for a full endometrial biopsy. I am disappointed that I didn't get an answer…

RF Uterine Ablation can cause uterine cancer
I just joined this board today, and I was moved by the tamoxifen stories. I don't think the medical community to this day takes women's health as seriously as men's health. I never took tamoxifen, but have recently been diagnosed with uterine cancer, stage 3C already. It has spread around to the lymphs in the torso, but…

Grateful for good news
I saw my gyn onc yesterday and got the results of my post-chemo scan. There is no sign of cancer, and the few lymph nodes they were watching either shrank to normal or remained stable. She actually used the phrase "complete remission." This is a better result than I ever dared to hope for. I see my medical onc on Tuesday…

Recurrence
Ladies I received the news that my one solitary nodule that they took 1/2 my middle lobe out for was a recurrence of UPSC. So now I wait to see my oncologist this coming Thursday. I've been reading all the recurrence posts seeing what line of defense is used. Has anyone went on Social Security disability with this? I am…
