Anyone with UPSC Stage 1A who chose not to have Chemo?
Hi! I was recently diagnosed with UPSC and am 4 weeks post radical hysterectomy. My pre-op CTs were negative as we're all the lymph nodes, and other biopsies done at surgery. I had had a D&C and polyp removal 1 month prior to hysterectomy which established the diagnosis. Originally my surgeon interpreted the research for…

Dr Appt privacy
My UPSC post-surgery & treatment discussion is in a few days. I have wonderful friends who insist on one of them going with me. I know they mean well, but I really want to do this by myself. I want time to digest the info & make m own decisions. I think I'm being calm and rational about all this, and plan to ask a lot of…

Looking for others who may be survivors of leiomyoscarcoma of the uterus.
Hi... I was diagnosed with leiomyoscarcoma of the uterus in Sept of 2010. I had a complete hysterectomy, then 28 treatments of radiation to the pelvis. I know it's aggressive and that the statistics for survival is not good. Looking for others in the same situations.

Will I ever get my energy level back?
I am 7 weeks post-op Hysterectomy and find it difficult just to do everyday things around the house, especially on cloudy days. gyn/onc and what to do...help please
Hi everyone, this is my first post to CSN In April 2010, at 39, i had a hysterectomy done by my gyn, not a gyn/onc. The endometrial tumor was rather large at 10x5 cm, and was a grade 2, with a nuclear cell of 2-3. I not only had no lymph nodes taken but also had no "experienced eyes". The gyn/onc i was referred to, i…

Uterus Cancer
I went to a fertility doctor to see why I was not getting pregnant. It turned out that I had fibroids in my uterus that didn't provide enough space for a baby to grow. I had two surgeries last year and the first biopsy came back with pre cancer cells which were treated with a hormone steroid. Second surgery showed no sign…

Observation continues
My CA 125 went from 672 to 718. So that was a smaller increase in 7 weeks. I also had a CAT scan which showed an incease in lymph nodes in the chest area and abdominal area, but the doctor was pleased the largest one was around 1 inch. He said the slow increase in the CA 125 was indicative of the increase in the size of…
