White discharge
I was wondering if anyone of you ever had a mild, white discharge years after histerectomy. I am having one. I went to the doctor, and he took a sample for a culture to check on vaginal diseases. It came back negative, than God. However, I would like to play safe and find out more, since the culture was for vaginal…

ca125 back up after 8 rounds
My mom has stage 4 grade 3 upsc that has moved to the abdominal lining and colon. She finished 8 rounds of taxol/carbo 2 months ago that took her ca125 numbers from 12000 to 125. In the 6 weeks since chemo her number is already back up to 1800. CAT scan done today with no results yet. Just really nervous that her numbers…

My mom
My mom was diagnised with UPSC stage 3C and it took the hospital 5 weeks to strat the treatment. I think it's disgracefull. We live in Canada and the public system is free but there is a long waiting list. I wish we had come to US. I fear we waited too long. Then they start with chemo and radation and no surgery…

Just diagnosed, supposedly "very early stage"
Hello everyone I was just told yesterday I have early endometrial cancer. I had laparoscip surgery almost 2 weeks ago for exploratory abdominal pain and while I was under they removed a cervical polyp. My Dr did a d&c while there but it wasn't a part of the plan originally. I'm lucky she did and found the cancer, who knows…

Support for recurrence
We just found out my mom has a recurrence of endometrial cancer. She had a hysterectomy in March 2012 and we were told it was stage 1a. She did not have any follow up treatment like chemo or radiation. I felt like that part of our lives was over. For months she has been complaining of a pain in her ribs, which developed…

Lung nodules
Cathy, I saw your post and hope your cardiac problems are mild. Let us know. I recently had another CT lung scan and had a wonderful report of no additional growth and three had decreased in size. I asked the doctor if this means they are not cancerous since they are to small to biopsy still. He said it's just something…

Question about chemo "rounds" "cycles," *added* recurrence question...
What, exactly, is a "round" of chemo? What is a "cycle?" I'm not sure how to describe the treatment I'm receiving so people understand me. During September-November, I received 6 treatments with Cisplatin. Would that be a round. Would each of the 6 treatments with Cisplatin be a round? Next week I start a…

Newly Diagnosed and Looking for Support
Well, I guess I'll just jump right in. I was diagnosed on September 24th with Stage 4 Endometrial Cancer. It all started in late August - I think. I'll try to explain here. In August of 2011 I was diagnosed with multiple, bi-lateral PE's, which came from DVT's in my leg after an injury. I was started on Coumadin and did it…

CSN study FAQ
Please excuse the long post. A number of members have posed questions on the discussion boards or emailed me for more information about the CSN study that has been underway since November 2013. I thought it might be helpful to post the most common questions and my answers. What is the CSN survey? What is its purpose? The…

The truth about lymph node removal
Latest CT scan came back showing the tumors as reduced in size, so I'm good to go for a full hysterectomy following my 6th chemo treatment (just had 5th this week). Here's my concern . . . . It is contained in the uterus with the exception of one right groin lymph node. Pet scan and recent CT showed no further spreading,…

Frodolass Update...
I also posted to the "long" thread which I read and found some great information. I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 52 years-old and was diagnosed with UPSC with clear cell features in early August. I had a total abdominal hysterectomy with ovaries and fallopian tubes removed as well. I hadn't been to the doctor in a…

bone scan
Hello gals , I have to have a bone scan tomorrow morning, because my cat scan showed pelvic changes. They said it could be from the radiation I had, but want to rule out malignancy. I know uterine doesn't usually spread to bone and that it is rare. Has anyone else had this show on their cat scan? I will keep you posted. My…

I just started Chemo last week for Uterine Cancer. I am taking Taxol and Carboplatine. 2 days later I experienced severe leg pain. I had to go to the emergency room and they said it was 100% due to taxol. As I am reading about some others on here who have experienced it, I noticed many of them are from 2004, 2002. I am…

A good read for anyone touched by cancer......
I read this on another site- ...............Your relationships are about to change. All of them. Some will get stronger. They will probably not be with the people you would expect. The people you want to handle this well might not be able to for a variety of reasons. Some of the reasons will be selfish. Some of them will…
