Semi-Good News
Hi all. Well, I had my onc. appointment today and got the results of my petscan and it wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear but also not the worst. Another reocurrence doubt...
-Why is that CT Scan miss cancer and you can confirm with a PET Scan? -How long of a remission can I expect (if so)after treating 1st reocurrence? -My Mom's actual CA 125 is 30.2 (with in a range of 0 to 21), does that give any pronostic factor? I'm waiting for the Dr. to call.. I`ll keep you updated. Liz

My CA125 has been below 30 since my surgery and chemo over a year ago. In middle of January it went to 31. Oncologist ran a new blood test as well as a cat scan. It shot up to 500. My cat scan does not show anything conclusive. I feel great. What does this mean? Does it mean the cancer is back? Can it go up to 500 and then…

GOOD NEWS
No, my doctor hasn't called. I put in another call yesterday when I knew he'd be in the office. This is so out of character and, I feel, somewhat negligent. But on the bright side, I did get my results in the mail from my last CA125. IT'S 10!!!! That is down from 13 for the last several months. I am so happy and hope that…
