vaccine ... so near and yet so far
It is so frustrating to know that vaccines like this are so close to being perfected, yet so far from being available to the patients who so desperately need them: http://www.emergencyemail.org/newsemergency/anmviewer.asp?a=2629&z=33 French researchers at the Universite Paris Descarte in France have invented a promising…

Any professional career issues by sharing personal blog publicly?

"Rare Event": the Definition
I have often posted that I thought a "rare event" would be being hit by falling space junk. Then today, 1000 Russians are injured by falling space debris. Not so rare, I guess. So I guess that "rare" is an event that happens to someone else. If it happens to you, it is not rare. How about that for a good definition?

Pronounced pain in elbow joints and shoulder joints lately?
Hey all... In the last month I have noticed pronounced pain (scale of 4-5) in both elbows and the right shoulder. This is new. I have always had hip joint pain since my treatments ended in Jan 2012 but I attributed that to my dramatic weight loss of 70lbs and hip joints just shifting to a different place (and my oncologist…

How I'll be ready without over panic before he starts his treatment. I wonder if I’ll be ready to support him and give to him the right loving care. I wonder if I’ll have the time to be ready…

When You Least Expect It...
Hi Folks, I'm home. A bit worse off for the wear unfortunately :( Surgery started with a look see around and a larygoscopy. Losing touch
I feel like I am losing touch with my CSN friends. Every time I come to the site I am seeing more and more people I don't know and feeling less viable on the site. I miss everyone and feeling like I can contribute. I am now seeing people who started the journey around the same time and shortly after who are now recovering.…
