(Please don't read anything political in this at all)

Last night I was listening to the State of the Union address. (I am a radio guy and, besides, I was fixing the microwave) At one pojnt I went to the basement where my son was watching the response on tv (school assignment) and just as I looked at it, Rubio reaches off camera and gets a bottle of water, drinks, and resumes reading the speech from the teleprompter. I immediately yelled to my son: "Hey, he's one of us!" I think he got it.

You see, if I talk for very long at all I have to have my water - glass or bottle - and take a small sip to go on. Then I talk for a few minutes and go on again. I wil post some clips from a talk show and from a recent speech to show you.

All this time, politicians have been trying to show that they are just like us... and this one finally succeeded!

Doug

You're wishing this on someone?  I can't think of anyone on the planet I hate enough to wish this disease on them.

    I don't think that's he's saying Joe....

just that he's a "sipping talker"....his mouth gets dry when he talks.  I'd think that more politicians' mouths would dry up when they speak....even before treatment, my mouth would get dry when I was being less than truthful Sealed.

    Lighten up a little

I seriously doubt that Doug was "wishing this" on anybody.

    Thank you, George! That was

Thank you, George! That was the one reaction that I least thought I would get. I really was meaning that finally somebody was just like me or us.

Believe me, even had I enemies, I would not wish my suffering on them. Fortunately, my sweet and loving nature precludes making enemies.

DrMary says hello to you all, Doug

    My Apologies Doug

I'm really sorry I "vented" on you earlier.  The only lame excuse I can give is I had just gotten back from the day at the hospital (they had to give me fluids) and being 12 days out from the end of treatement I just feel so rotten and I hate this disease so much I spoke without thinking.

    Again, truly sorry.

I'm sure we've all had days like that where we needed to vent.  I know I have.  Do mini vans count as cars, Matt?

But seriously Doug, "sweet and loving nature" and "goalie" just doesn't seem right used together! LOL
