m ucus, during the day the left side of my mouth and tongue seem to be constantly wet with either saliva or mucus, likely mucus.  Its not really a problem physically but seems to be on the left side but not so much on the right side.  The left side of my tongue still has some discomfort but I would not call it pain, more like its rubbing and slightly raw..  the moisture still seems to alter my speech a little although people seem to understand me most of the time its like talking with chewing tobacco (example) im 7 months out of tx has anyone else had this situation.  Im eating very well and swallowing good, the moisture although a little thick seems to help.  I guess I was just wondering if what I described applies to anyone else.  Also do we just assume our voice is likely never to be what it was before cancer?

I sort of have the same thing.  My voice is raspy and deep sometimes then almost normal others.  I just came back from dentist and he beleives I am just not drinking enough water.  He said I almost cannot have too much water.  I am just at two months out from my last radiation (both siides of neck) and chemo.  I am going to try to increase water intake and see if it helps.

    Thanks HD

I appreciate your response, I seem to get plenty of fluid its just weird that its just the left side that seems to create the moisture/spit/mucus and the left side of tongue that still has some irration to it.  As for the voice it sounds as if I have a cold so I try hard to slow down and pronounce as best I can.  Maybe its just me..
