closer to some better answers maybe
We went back to the original surgeon regarding my husbands liver mets, since they've shown such shrinkage and that was our goal and since we've had so much "diversity" in opinions as to number and size. He has ordered an MRI now to get a more definitive answer on how many, what size and how deep they are. We are now being…

Feeling abandoned
Has anyone had experience after treatment stops for the time being? The next thing we are doing is a PET scan, but I had to ask about any labs that would be done to monitor what might be going on. I may be jumping the gun, but I was told the labs are not automatic when you are not in active treatment. I asked my onc. how I…

Folfox6 Side Effects?
Hi Gang. Knowing that a number of you have 'been there and done that', I am hoping you can answer a couple of post chemo questions for me. I just completed my third round of Folfox6 with Erbitux this past Monday, with my 5-FU pump removed Wednesday. I am feeling pretty well today with the exception of two concerns. I have…

Great results!
Hi Everyone, I had my 1-year colonoscopy on Friday, and it came back clear, clear, clear!!! One small polyp that did not look precancerous which was removed. He also biopsied the site of the anastamosis, but said he expects everything to be clear. I am sooooo relieved. Now there's just the CT scan next month to get past.…

leg pains
My daughter has been suffering from severe leg pains (sometimes one leg, sometimes both, in the thigh area and not constantly). She is on Irinotecan currently, which she has taken for some time, well before these pains showed up. She has previously also been on Avastin and Erbitux, but these have been discontinued for…

Update on Mom
Hello Everyone, Last week we went to see my mom's onc. She decided that we needed to address the tumor in my mom's neck and the one under her arm. They have grown very big. Both are about the size of a large plum, and the onc felt like my mom was in immediate danger to her throat and of losing feeling in her arm. We…
