Waiting.........

Just wanted to give an update on Carl (stage IV mets to liver, 12 nodes positive, dx 10/06). He saw his onc on Tues. and got his CEA done which came back at 2.6. (It was at 2.6 during treatment as well, which he finished 8 weeks ago) The doc said it was great as anything below 4 was considered normal. He will be having his first CT scan (since before treatment) done tomorrow. We have really wanted this done so we know for sure whether he is truly free of cancer at this point. So now we play the waiting game.....we are hoping to get the results within a week....fingers crossed!
God Bless,
Heather and Carl

Great news on the CEA. Prayers for an all clear ct . I know how tough the waiting is. God Bless, Diane0

Great news,
The fact that his CEA has not changed is encouraging. If I were you I'd be on the phone Monday bugging 'em. I usually get my results w/in 48 hours that way. I always call my oncology nurse and she looks up the scan report on the computer for me.
I hate waiting! That's the worst part.
Best wishes,
