Pulmonary Embolism and Infected Port
Had both at once and ended up in intensive care last week. Now they're saying I can never have a port again and I have to get a picc line instead. Does anyone have a picc line and do I have a choice on where it's placed? I had a temporary one in the hospital and I was miserable with it.

Aspirin for crc
The study says taking aspirin decreases your chance of dying from colon cancer 30%. I read the results of the study and I'm not convinced of everything it says, but even a 1% would saves thousands of lives. aspirin absolutely kills my stomach, but I'm gonna give some a try.

Liver surgery delayed
Well, I was eager to progress to liver resection surgery and get on with my path to a cure. Liver surgery is supposed to be the "Gold Standard" of care. Before surgery it was suggested I go to Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC for a second opinion. The result; the experts thought I should hold off on surgery and try 3-months…

Medical study shows aspirin of value in colon cancer issues
If you go to the following web site, you will see an article that deals with the positive aspects of aspirin in helping with colon cancer. Here it is: http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2009/08/11/20090811cancer-aspirin11-ON.html?source=nletter- This was also in the morning paper today. It is an interesting read.

It's always something.
As Gilda would say, "it's always something." My husband (stage III and later IV) sees his oncologist every month. I admire/revere/totally trust his oncologist, but I have to confess that I dread the monthly visit. Even more than the monthly visit, I dread the day after the monthly office visit. My husband has routine blood…

Self tanners during chemo?
Okay, I'm so vain! My darned legs are SO WHITE and I have two bottles of a self tanner. They're screaming at me every time I go in the bathroom. Calling me 'chicken legs' and 'zombie girl'. Has anyone used a self tanner during chemo and not turned green or had some strange reaction?
