Fever blister

I have a fever blister that starts on the outside of my lip and goes all the way through to the inside. Now my magic mouth wash will probably work for the inside, if I can make it swish there, but what should I use on the outside of my lip?

    what i usualy do is when i spit after i swish i just take my finger and whatever is left on my mouth i rub it on my lips.i have never had a blister on my lips but they do tingle at times and the mouthwash seems to numb them good luck and hope you can find some relief......Godbless....johnnybegood
