Got My PET/CT Results Today.......OH MY GOSH!!!!!

I am still in shock.... a FANTASTIC shock. Onc said the 15+ nodules in my lungs have all decreased to a "VERY LITTLE" status. I mean that as far as size is concerned. I did have 2 that were a little over an inch and 1 that was almost 2". Now ALL pea sized or smaller. My liver had 4 spots. 1 of those was large and against a main vessel. Now.... there are NONE!!!! My liver is completely clean.... nothing... I just can't believe that. That opens a whole lot of options for me as far as my lungs are concerned. Onc says 3 more treatments and then another scan. He said a very good chance since I am responding so good to chemo that it may burn out the lungs too. You know what that means????? I could one day be NED!!!!! Oh my gosh. I don't want to count my chickens before they are hatched but I NEVER thought I would be here.

WOW!!! I am so in shock...I mean you give me so much hope, I am stage 4 with big liver mets and in my stomach and lymphnodes. I am so happy for you and hope that I will have the same news also. How many treatments have you had? what treatment regimin are you on? God Bless you, Patti0 -

Jennie, how great!!!! I hope you just keep getting good news. Johns liver had at least four tumors and he said one was very large. The spots in his lungs weren't as bright whatever that means. I am going with him next Wed. and I want to see the scan before he started Chemo. That way I will see the improvement when they do another scan. Next week will be his last treatment until we see his new Onc.

When I first talked to you, you were a very different person than you are today - it's great to see the change in you - very heartwarming stuff.

That scan was taken after my 4th treatment. I am on Folfiri with Avastin every 2 weeks and then take the 5FU pump home for 46 hours. I felt like I was ate up with cancer and there just wasn't any real hope for me. I WAS WRONG!!!! You keep your head up and know first and foremost that miracles DO happen. I feel like I have been blessed with one. I know I still have a ways to go but my faith is made of steel now.

Jennie when we spoke on the phone when you first started ...I told you there was HOPE. We know that first hand from where my husband was and where he is now. Prayers or positive thoughts are answered. We will continue to pray...hang on and never give up HOPE. You will soon be NED! I have wonderful tears of pure joy!!! Praise GOD!!
