Update. I just got out of the hospital after spending 4 days there. I am using 5FU Chemo. After 3 treatments I still can't eat and now my skin is dark all over and starting to peel. How long does it take to get enough chemo out of your system to stop vomiting? Today, I have just been heaving up air. Prior to leaving the…

Robotic Surgery
Hi, My name is Mick. In March 2008 I was diagnosed with colon cancer. It was stage 4, I was told it was terminal. Of course I was devastated. Not so much for me, but for my wife and 2 sons. I started out at Northridge Hospital in Ca. For 2 months I lived with the fact that I was going to die. Later, my doctor called and he…

John and Adrian
I'm a little "out of it" chemo weeks, and can't always keep up with the boards, work and life. Sometimes I miss things - and other times it isn't me, but others just haven't been on the boards either. I don't see anything posted from either of them lately. If I missed something posted this last week, or anyone has heard…

How to keep positive?
I was diagnosed in July 2009 with Small cell colorectal. Stage IV. Doctors say not much hope for me. Did 5 aggressive chemos. Same drugs as they use for Small Cell Lung Cancers. Those treatments shrunk the tumor almost 80% but then stopped working. At time of diagnosis it had already gotten into lymph nodes. I decided no…

My question is are there folks out there who may be getting…

An acquintance sent me this link to a story about a short opera co-written by and performed by a colon cancer survivor. Update on my second clinical trial
After 5 weeks of treatment with Erbitux, Sorafenib and Irinotecan, today I went to hospital to have CT scan. Liver lesions have not changed much in size, but the "activities" are lower. It could mean…
