I have just finished chemo and my onocologist wants me to wait a year before doing reconstruction because this time the breast cancer was a recurrence and it was growing quite rapidly. Radiation therapy

It's Scary Out Here Isn't It?
After surviving for 10 years, I had a reoccurrence diagnosed last January. Just finished 4 rounds of chemo and will start taxatere treatment next week. Any advice on what to expect with taxatere. Anyone else feel like their life is totally out of control? I feel like I'm going through the motions but living in a deam world.

eat lots of kale and broccoli/carrot juice
kale is great steamed an has lutein, which attacks breast cancer. in fact, the disease is 88% less common in Kale eaters. no downside to this! (-:

Port or IV line
I've had 2 rounds of chemo and veins are hurting. Dr suggesting hv'g a central port. When is it a gd idea to have a central port? Are hurting veins normal at the beg'g of chemo? Dont worry. The surgery wasn't bad compared to what we have been through. The expanding prosess is a little differant. Just a tightness on fill day. I was glad when it was time for my implant. you will be ok. Just another step in the journey.
