Reconstruction Problems
I had my second breast reconstructed in Feb 2001. Because I had a free flap the first time (which turned out great) there was no tissue to use on the second. They took tissue from my back and put in an expander. Well needless to say I have had nothing but problems. They had to take the expander out because of infection and…

Looking for Information on Tamoxifen & Pregnancy
Hi all! I'm wondering if anyone out there who has been on tamoxifen has later become pregnant. I'm currently on tamoxifen and my husband and I are thinking about starting a family as we're both still fairly young. I know I'd have to go off the tamoxifen before I could get pregnant, but I'm wondering if I'm at greater risk…

Good morning!!! - My nerves are shot ...
Hi all!!! I'm going in for a mammo on 5/10 and then a check-up on 5/15 with the onc. Since it has been 4 years since my dx, you would think I would be used to these visits, but I'm definitely not. Is it just me or does anyone else get 'wound up' around check up time? I get very irritated, easily agitated, snappy, grouchy,…

waiting for mammo results
Hi All, I am amazed reading all the messages which mention long waits for mammogram results. Here in Buffalo, NY wherever you go, results are given as soon as they look at the pictures - within the hour and if you ask, you can speak directly to the radiologist and see the x-rays yourself. Any others out there who get…

Lattisimus Dorsi Flap Reconstruction
I am considering this as a possibility for my double reconstruction in July. I keep wondering how this option…

Leaking expander
One of my expanders is leaking leaving me with breasts of differing sizes. I'm scheduled to have the permanent implants put in May 29, but I am hesitating because of the size difference. Has anyone had this problem? Did your doctor replace the leaking expander and refill it or what? I was looking forward to completing this…
