Hi Everyone! I finished chemo in July. My hair is starting to grow back but it seems like such a slow process! I have been using a product called Nioxin. I'm not sure if it is helping or not. Just wondering how long it took for your hair to get a decent length. I'm hoping by Christmas mine will be long enough to feel…

it was the gall bladder!
Hello my fellow survivors! I wanted to update everyone who may have read my posts regarding the severe back pain that I had endured for the past two months. There was a tumor on my spine, but they were 98% sure that it is a hemangioma, and not the source of pain. On that notion, my surgeon removed my gall bladder on the…

Hernia after Tram
Has anybody developed a hernia following Tram Flap reconstruction? I had a piece of "mesh" put in...but, wondering if I've developed a hernia at that site. If it's happened to you, I'd like to hear about symptoms and what was done to fix the problem. Thanks. (My mastectomy and tram flap was done in Jan. 2003).

Do or have any of you had leg pain with Taxol chemotherapy. I've had 2 treatments and horrible leg pain with the Taxol, no peripheral neuropathy-numbness, etc. though. If so what helped you? Pain meds, vicodin, and ice help some for about 4 hours, then pain returns. It will subside in a few days, but bad now. Help! C.

Realistic Expectations for Stage IIIa
I was diagnosed with Breast CA in May 03. Did mastectomy, chemo and radiation. I thought by now I'd be at a point where I'd see medical oncologist every 4-6 months and radiation oncologist every year. Seeing both more frequently than that and every 3-4 months dealing with "we need to rule out recurrence". Was my expections…

The Aging Process
Have you found that chemo treatment has sped up your aging process? I was 52 when I started chemo and I didn't look 52. I never smoked, sunbathed, etc. so my skin looked youthful. Now my face, neck, arms and hands look like I'm 65 or older. I used to look in the mirror and occassionaly see my mother's face looking back at…

I have'nt checked in for a while, but I've been pretty busy this summer with working and such.
