I finally get to say these words "I'm Dancing With NED"!
Doc said there is a one millimeter spot on my lung but she said it's not uncommon and these tiny little spots can show up and mean nothing, which they do all the time. She said she isn't going to lose any sleep over it and neither should I. She has officially told me that at this point I'm cancer free :) Plus I did the…

Does This Story Ever Stop Evolving?
I lost my sister to uterine sarcoma in August 2009. There is great suspicion that this was the result of the Tamoifen treatment she had been on for 3 1/2 years following a DCIS diagnosis. (She did not receive any monitoring or bloodtests during this time and when she began displaying "red flag" symptoms that indicated a…

Getting Old, Part 2! Sigh.....
Middle Age… Middle age is when you go to the doctor and you realize you now have to pay someone to look at you naked. The good news about middle age is that the glass is still half-full… of course, the bad news is that it won’t be long before your teeth are floating in it. You know you are getting old when you go for a…

Does everyone shave their head during chemo?
My cousin's wife told me her hair just thinned out a little during chemo and she didn't need to shave it. I found this curious. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm only about 5 days out from my first chemo treatment. I've cut my hair pretty short and am just waiting for the right time to shave my head. Thoughts?

thyroid issues
Anyone with thyroid issues after breast cancer diagnosis? I am waiting for a 2nd ultrasound result and I am sure I saw little white dots, the kind I saw with my breast cancer...calcification. And the technician drew a little arrow to them. Still waiting for results. I can't help but to think the worst.
