ultrasound
Has everyone on this message board had an ultrasound? I have not had one since I was diagnosed in 95. I have had a few scans. I also have read that if you had hashimotos disease that tg levels dont rise. Mine are not at zero if they should be. I have an appt in under 2 weeks. Should I be asking for an US? Thanks, Karen

Please help, my husband just wants me to accept that he will die soon. He said he'd see the onocologist if it would comfort me and help me accept this. The trouble was the pulmonary dr. told him he had stage IV lung cancer, and the next day the report came from mayo that his biopsy showed it started in the thyroid. She…

Thyroglobulin level 23.0
I am 20 years post near total thyroidectomy/RAI ablation for papillary thyroid cancer. I just found out that my last thyroglobulin level (with TSH suppressed) was 23.0. I am now scheduled for a neck ultrasound. After doing a lot of research, I've pretty much figured out that a level that high has to be indicative of a…

Metastasized Thyroid Cancer
In 1998, I was diagnosed with both papillary and follicular thyroid cancer after a lump was discovered on my neck. Thyroidectomy or Hemi...best option?
I have 5 nods, two on one side that are ventricular cells and can't be determined as benign until removed. My surgeon recommends that I have at least the left half removed. The right has two nods as well, including the biggest one. It seems to make more sense to have the whole thing removed at once since I have so many…
