The Report Impression: Highly suspicious lesion of the anterior right apex as above marked for possible fusion biopsy. The lesion…

11 anniversaries since diagnosis of stage 4 prostate cancer
Diagnosed at 63, I did not have the confidence at that time to believe I would live another 10 years. Yet, I just completed another follow-up visit in the past two weeks. My semiannual routine includes a blood draw for PSA and metabolic panel, followed by a visit to my oncologist's office. Given the many years of hormone…

Radiation without Hormones?
In my previous posts I've spoken about only wanting surgery rather than radiation. I've been told by others (non-professionals) that it's possible to do radiation without hormones in my case given that I have favorable intermediate prostate cancer (3 + 4 with 5% involvement of 4 in only one core). Does anyone know if…

Confused after MRI
I know I am in the early stages of possible PCA diagnosis as my biopsy is scheduled on 4/23. But I am really blindsided by this. I am 52 years old. I have absolutely no symptoms other then noticing some possible ED over the past year. My doctor ordered PSA test in on 2/20 and it came back as 14.97 and another test was…

Prostate surgery or radiation with ADT
I have been approved for either treatment. 79 years old. In good health otherwise. would like life experiences with side effects from either of the treatments for the first 6 months of removal or radiation with ADT. Probably will base my decision on treatment based on the severity of the side effects as it appears that…

Very rare and aggressive
My dad who is 75 and very healthy just retired and was diagnosed with aggressive and advance prostate cancer. His psa 13 months ago was 2.1 and a couple months ago was at an alarming 150. newbie question re genomic/biomarker testing
I had a recent MRI which showed two lesions, one with a PI-RAD score of 5, the other with score of 3. So, highly likely to be cancerous. I've been dealing with another, rare form of cancer (GIST) for two and a half years; it's incurable but treatable, for an unknown length of time. For that cancer, mutational/biomarker…

Surgery vs Radiation: another question
I am 67, Gleason 7, unfavorable, and PSA 4.2. Both surgeon and oncologist say I am on the borderline age-wise and that either treatment would give good results. I am more concerned about long-term continence than longevity. I am changing my mind ten times a day. Any input appreciated.

PSA velocity, what am I looking at here?
PSA last year was 2.0, and this past December was 5.78. The urologist ordered a 4k test: score 59, 10% free PSA, and my PSA was almost 12. That is a vast PSA increase in just 3 months. Going to Johns Hopkins now. MRI on 4/12 and biopsy to follow. I did have an abdominal/ pelvis CT done for possible diverticulitis a month…

15 Years Post RP Detectable PSA
Submitted to a radical prostectomy in June 2009 after an initial PSA of 16.9 and a confirming biopsy. Total time lapse from detection to removal was less than 120 days.
