3+4 Time for my 6 month...anxiety
Hey everyone. New here. But I am getting my 6 month PSA checked Tuesday and my anxiety is a little high. I had a robotic prostatectomy 1.5 years ago at 46. Final pathology was 3+4 fully contained and 15% pattern 4. All tests have been <.04 undetectable. I realize with those stats I'm in a very good position. But no matter…

Deciding on treatment
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in May of 2016 but apparently I have had elevated PSA results for at least 7 years prior to that (army clinic failed to inform me that my PSA was higher than expected in 2008 only to tell me in 2016). My original PSA was 11 but I was checked immediately after the results and it was 5.7…

Pain In Penis 5 weeks post surgery
I am having pain inside my penis 5 weeks after surgery. Worse pain is near base of penis. No pain urinating, flow ok. It is worse at night and keeps me awake. Asked my doctor and he said it is probably due to the nerves being extra sensitive after surgery. Very disconcerting. Anyone with similar problem. Thanks

Multitude of new onset health issues
Hello! I’m here for my father. He avoided doctors all his life, but recently started having some shortness of breath and cough. He’s a lifelong smoker and I encouraged him to finally get a primary care doctor for labs and a CT chest to rule out lung CA. Test came back with minor nodules in lung, opacity in pleural space,…

10 years later...
Greetings, 10 years ago I went through a RP and a month later had 36 treatments of RT. The last 9 of those years after, my PSA was always 0.01 but now seems to be on the incline again, low but different at 0.07 then 0.05. The 0.02 drop 6 months later confused me, is that normal? Thanks in advance.

Questions to Ask for Radiation vs Surgery?
Hey everyone, I’m a new member. I’m 63 years old in NYC. My November PSA showed a sharp increase to 8.3, so I had an MRI, which showed RADS 5 and a legion in the left region. No seminal vesical or lymph node invasion. But it did state there was “overlying extraprostatic extension.” A subsequent Bone Scan showed nothing…

Life after Eligard etc.
I had my supposedly last injection of Eligard a few months ago. My question is how long does it take to get this stuff out of the body and return to normal, or has it damaged the testicles beyond hope and the ED is permanent? Drugs like Viagra are expensive and not covered by most insurance. I guess they figure sex is not…
