Prayers to You All
I'm back in AZ in my new little home decorated with much of Mom's stuff. I come to this board to check in every once in awhile and often feel overwhelmed. I wish I could take this disease away from each and every one of you. I had lunch today with an executive for Schering-Plough/Merck and we were talking about the way to…

Leg pain
As I read on here many of us have that horrid leg pain. After the initial chemo crash and everything that goes with it, the pain was the worst. My question is, does it continue to kind of come and go throughout? It's not nearly as bad, but some days I still have it. I also have fibromyalgia so it could be that, not sure.

Starting Treatment
Hello All, I have a question. Does anyone know about poorly differentiated papillary serous carcinoma of the ovary. This is the type of cancer that my mom has. She had her surgery on 2-21-12 with a complete hysterectomy and partial bowel removal. She now has a colostomy. My mom's appointment is next week to discuss her…

anemia
I called my nurse today. I am 10-11 days out from first chemo, I was sick but had been doing really well, until yesterday when the fatigue started. I slept 12 hours last night and woke up tired. Today when I get up to walk around my heart beats really hard, I am weak, tired and really feel like crap. After telling her this,…

I have a question
I read on a thread from someone who had clear cell that 80-85% of the time this sneaky type of cancer will re-appear,tumors will form and this even happens during the chemo. My Dr has already informed me that this type of cancer (which I have) is very dificult to treat and can be un-responsive. Any one else out there with…

Wondering about length of remissions
Just wondering how long second remissions have lasted for those of you that have been lucky enough to have had them. I guess I am just looking to see what might be possible.

Pain
Now I know we all have cancer. And I know chemo can cause pain. Having said that, I have had sharp off and on pain in my right upper quadrant since surgery. My cat scan shows and enlarged liver but no obvious masses. So we decided it was from all the probing and biopsies they did within my abdominal cavity. It subsided and…

Doxil

Going back to work
Hi, I survived my port surgery, and first treatment!! Weird how that is a celebration, but to me it is. Just have 5 more to go. I am happy to write that my nervousness was the worst part of the chemo treatment. I had myself so worked up over it, that I was sick to my stomach. Number one, it was painless. Yes, it was long.…

I finished chemo
I am so happy! I can't believe it is finally over. These last 5 months have been the hardest of my life. I didn't think I could do that last taxotere but I did, with a reduced dose. I have a CT on April 9 and then my followup on April 16. Another surgery at the end of april to repair a hernia and do a second look. How long…

recurrence into NED
I was wondering if after going through a second surgery for ovarian cancer and chemo, what is the posibility that I might acheive at least NED??? Currently going through chemo (gemzar, avasitin, carboplatin) and on my 6th chemo found out that I am allergic to carboplatin. The first go round i was allergic to taxol. My…

navelbine, anyone heard of this drug
DR wants to start me on this Monday. From what I have read its more of a lung cancer drug than OVC. She says it will be easier on my body seeing that I had major surgery on Feb.8 th. Recent scan showed a few lymp nodes on stomach has not spread to vital organs. Ca125 was 454 on Jan.21-after surgery it was 1514, 2 weeks ago…

Question for those of you on avastin
I just started avastin every 21 days (400ml). (I will also do 75ml/m2 taxotere and AUC5carbo.) I am curious what dosage others are getting of avastin. I know a couple of you are on avastin maintainance too, so I am curious about how that is working also. My doctor has purposely given me time between my avastin and chemo to…
